Mission Statement The Kinship Care Resource Network will coordinate a community wide effort to improve family stability and overall family well-being within the individual kinship care family system. The Kinship Care Resource Network will respect and uphold the rights and privacy of every kinship caregiver, family member and child to achieve optimum personal well-being and potential. The Kinship Care Resource Network will enhance the physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being of each family member and will strive to ensure the safety and permanence of families. The Kinship Care Resource Network will advocate for and coordinate a complete scope of services to meet the needs of kinship care families. The Kinship Care Resource Network completed its first year of service in 2002 and is funded by a grant from the Department of Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF). Our service partners include: Family Resource Centers of Rochester, Monroe County Legal Assistance Corporation (MCLAC), and the Urban League of Rochester. Together we provide a comprehensive, continuum of services to meet the needs of kinship care families. |
